Dear BCAPT members!
The BCAPT Executive Committee wanted to make all members aware of a wonderful professional development and just very fun event coming up this July. The AAPT is having its Summer National Meeting in Portland, Oregon on July 17th-21st. There are workshops, social events, excellent talks, an amazing demo show, excellent science stores and lots of science vendors with FREE commercial workshops, etc. that will be great for Physics teachers of all levels. Notice, the deadline for the early bird registration is June 1st, so hurry up!!!
To lower costs, we are wondering if any of our members are planning to attend and would wish to carpool. If you are interested, please leave a comment on this site with the subject “SUMMER AAPT MEETING CARPOOL”. In the comment, please indicate if you are looking for a ride or are willing to drive (and if so how many seats your vehicle has). If we get enough responses, we will put members in contact with each other.
This is a rare opportunity to attend the AAPT Summer Meeting as it will not be located close to BC for at least the next 3 years. If you have any specific questions about the summer meeting, please e-mail Marina.
